PAYMENT & SHIPPING POLICIES

PAYMENT INFORMATION

We accept the following payment methods for your convenience:

  • PayPal - Secure online payment processing
  • Credit Cards - All major credit cards accepted (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover)
  • Debit Cards - Process as credit card transactions

⚠️ IMPORTANT: All payments are due when your order is placed. Your order will be processed immediately upon successful payment authorization.

  • Immediate Payment Required: All orders must be paid in full at the time of purchase via PayPal or credit card. This ensures we can process and ship your order without delay.
  • Declined Payments: If a payment method is declined, the buyer forfeits ownership of any items in the order. We recommend verifying your payment information before completing checkout.
  • Payment Security: All transactions are processed through secure, encrypted payment gateways to protect your financial information.
  • Order Confirmation: You will receive an email confirmation once your payment has been successfully processed.

SHIPPING POLICIES

We work hard to get your order to you safely and efficiently:

Shipping Costs & Methods:

  • Buyer-Paid Shipping: Shipping costs will be paid by the buyer in the amount agreed upon by Griggs Lawn and Tractor at the time of purchase. Shipping rates are calculated based on item weight, dimensions, and destination.
  • Shipping Quotes: All shipping costs are clearly displayed during checkout before you complete your purchase. What you see is what you pay—no hidden fees.
  • Carrier Selection: We use reputable carriers including UPS, FedEx, USPS, and freight services for larger items. The carrier will be selected based on the best combination of speed, cost, and reliability for your specific order.
  • Processing Time: Most orders ship within 1-3 business days after payment is confirmed. You'll receive tracking information via email once your order ships.
  • Large/Heavy Items: Tractors, riding mowers, and other large equipment may require freight shipping or special handling. We'll contact you to arrange delivery details for these items.

Shipping Protection - We've Got You Covered:

  • Lost Shipments: If an item is lost during shipping, the total cost of the item, including shipping charges, will be fully refunded to the buyer by Griggs Lawn and Tractor, OR we will send a replacement item at no additional cost to you. Your choice.
  • Damaged Shipments: If an item is damaged during shipping, we will initiate an insurance claim with the carrier and reship the item to you upon approval. You won't be left waiting or out of pocket.
  • Delivery Issues: If you experience any problems with delivery (wrong address, damaged package, missing items), contact us immediately and we'll work with the carrier to resolve the issue quickly.

Local Pickup Available: Located near Courtland, VA? You may be eligible for local pickup at our location to save on shipping costs. Contact us to arrange pickup.

Tracking Your Order: Once shipped, you'll receive a tracking number via email. You can monitor your shipment's progress in real-time through the carrier's website.


REFUND & RETURN POLICY

Your satisfaction is our priority. We want you to be completely happy with your purchase. Here's how our return policy works:

Standard Return Policy:

  • 30-Day Return Window: Items may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund or exchange, subject to the conditions below.
  • Restocking Fee: A 10% restocking fee applies to all new item returns to cover processing and inspection costs. This fee is deducted from your refund amount.
  • Shipping Costs Non-Refundable: Original shipping charges are not refundable. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless the item is defective or we shipped the wrong item.
  • Condition Requirements: Returned items must be in new, unused condition with all original packaging, manuals, accessories, and documentation included.

Return Authorization Required:

  • No Returns Without Authorization: All returns must be pre-approved by Griggs Lawn and Tractor. Do not ship items back without contacting us first.
  • How to Request Return Authorization: Contact us via phone at 757-742-6232 or email at sales@griggslawnandtractor.net to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
  • RMA Number Required: Credit will NOT be issued for merchandise returned without a valid RMA number. The RMA number must be clearly marked on the outside of the return package.
  • Return Process: Once you receive your RMA number, carefully package the item and ship it back to the address provided. We recommend using a trackable shipping method.

❌ NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS: For safety and quality reasons, certain items cannot be returned once installed or used:

  • Fuel System Components: Carburetors, fuel pumps, fuel lines, and gas tanks cannot be returned once installed, as they cannot be resold as new.
  • Electrical Components: Magnetos, ignition coils, starters, alternators, and other electrical parts cannot be returned once installed.
  • Fluids & Chemicals: Oil, fuel additives, cleaners, and other consumable products cannot be returned once opened.
  • Custom or Special Orders: Items ordered specifically for you may not be returnable.
  • Reason: These items come into direct contact with fuel, oil, or electrical systems and cannot be verified as unused or resold safely once installed.

Exchanges & Special Circumstances:

  • Exchanges: Product exchanges are granted on a case-by-case basis. Contact us to discuss exchange options for your specific situation.
  • Defective Items: If you receive a defective or damaged item, we'll replace it free of charge or issue a full refund including shipping costs. Contact us immediately.
  • Wrong Item Shipped: If we shipped the wrong item, we'll send the correct item at no charge and cover return shipping for the incorrect item.
  • Complaint-Based Returns: Items are entitled to be refunded or returned based on legitimate complaints. We investigate all claims fairly and promptly.

Refund Processing: Once we receive and inspect your returned item, refunds are typically processed within 5-7 business days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.


CANCELLATION POLICY

We understand that circumstances change. Here's what you need to know about order cancellations:

Before Payment Processing:

  • Easy Cancellation: An order may be cancelled up until payment has been processed. Contact us immediately if you need to cancel.
  • How to Cancel: Call 757-742-6232 or email sales@griggslawnandtractor.net with your order number.

After Payment Processing:

  • Buyer Responsibility: Once payment has been processed and your order is in fulfillment, the buyer is responsible for payment. At this point, our standard return policy applies if you wish to return the item after receiving it.
  • Order in Transit: If your order has already shipped, you may refuse delivery, but refused items are subject to our standard return policy less any incurred additional shipping charges.
  • Restocking Fee Applies: Cancelled orders that have been processed may be subject to the 10% restocking fee if items have been pulled from inventory or prepared for shipment.

Pricing Errors & Order Cancellations by Griggs Lawn and Tractor:

  • Pricing Errors: Griggs Lawn and Tractor is not responsible for pricing errors on our website or in promotional materials. In the event of a pricing error, we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund.
  • Staff Discretion: Orders may be cancelled at any time by our staff due to inventory issues, pricing errors, suspected fraud, or other legitimate business reasons. You will be notified immediately and receive a full refund if this occurs.
  • Inventory Availability: Occasionally, items may be out of stock due to high demand or supplier issues. If we cannot fulfill your order, we'll contact you with options including backorder, substitution, or full refund.
